Finished Yoga Teacher Training

I have just finished my 200-hour yoga teacher training, including my take-home final exam and all my other requirements. Hurrah! This was an intensive program that lasted seven weeks and literally took over my life. I learned a lot and I'm very happy I did it. The program combined regular hatha and kundalini yoga, which is a meditative and movement-oriented branch of yoga that really works to clear out old blockages and energetic gunk.

I will soon be adding "yoga" to my list of services. This will include private sessions here in Los Angeles, as well as "yoga consultations" over the phone for people who want to create a home yoga practice but are not in an urban area where there is easy access to yoga studios.

I have come to the conclusion that incorporating some sort of mind/body fitness practice such as yoga is essential for people who are in the process of healing. You must move and breathe to let go of all that old stuff that is holding you back!

Yoga is a wonderful tool, and you don't need to be super flexible or strong to start. I still have a hard time with my forward bends. But that doesn't matter. It's not about perfection but practice.
