Eli Stone: Higher Vibrational Television

No, it's not a work of pure genius, and it is a little fluffy. But ABC's Eli Stone gets on my list of "higher vibrational television" for the following reasons:

1. It deals with issues surrounding psychic phenomena, God and faith.
2. An acupuncturist is a main character, and he puts needles in Eli's third eye to stimulate psychic visions.
3. It boldly takes on controversial causes from the alternative viewpoint: An episode about mercury in vaccines possibly causing autism created a great uproar among the medical establishment.

Of course, it's not surprising that certain closed-minded people are turning off Eli Stone because they don't want to be influenced by the blatant "liberal agenda."

But those of us with open minds and hearts, who want some TV that reflects the same, might find some inspiration and solace in Eli Stone and its lighthearted subversiveness.
